Philly Duct Cleaning - How Much Should I Spend?

Posted by ductcleaner on July 19th, 2008 at 01:29pm

So you’re thinking about duct cleaning for your Philadelphia home and the next step is to decide which duct cleaner to hire. Here are some things to consider when trying to decide on a duct cleaning company:

  • Duct cleaning methods used.
  • Duct cleaning prices.
  • Which components get cleaned?
  • BBB reports, customer reviews, etc.
  • How did their references check out?

Duct Cleaning Methods & Duct Cleaning Prices

There are primarily 3 methods of cleaning duct work:

  1. Air-Sweep Method - Usually only $99 for the whole house, but no brushes are used. This works well if your duct work was recently cleaned using the RotoBrush method.
  2. RotoBrush Method - As the name implies, a rotating brush is sent through the air ducts to loosen “caked-on” dirt and grime. Typical duct cleaning cost in Philly: $189
  3. Mold Remediation - These are the folks that send in a team of technicians, nearly remove your air ductwork, and extract every last spec of dust. Typical cost for this duct cleaning service: $400 - $1,000 (a little overkill for most consumers)

In the next post, I will continue this discussion and will try to cover the topics; Duct Cleaning - What’s Included?, Consumer Protection Agencies, Duct Cleaning References & Testimonials. Until then, if you would like to get on the schedule for duct clenaing, call (215) 825-8529. We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, yours is very nice too. I see you are only a Page Rank 1. Call me sometime, I think I know what you can do to bump it up to a PR2 or PR3.
    Thanks again,
